Planning for the un part of the unconference will begin. The essential idea is that everyone is welcome to bring forward an idea for a talk, discussion, presentation, hike, demonstration, exercise, to present a thumbnail sketch of this in a minute or two, and to seek a group of others interested in joining in. Together, thus, we’ll create the schedule for the day, filling in time slots in various places available. More about this exercise.

Meet at 100 Prince Street for a walk up to the Charlottetown Farmer’s Market for breakfast. It’s a 30 minute walk (map), through residential neighbourhoods, and then through the Farm Centre’s Community Garden to the Confederation Trail and on to the market.

We’ll have a 21-passenger bus, driven by Kevin Lewis, to get us back to home base; if there are more than 21 of us, the brave can catch the 9:50 a.m. bus back downtown from the stop in front of Indigo ($2, exact change required).
10:15 a.m. Welcome to Day 2 from Peter
Gather in the Parish Hall to discuss day 2, the “do” part of the unconference: we shift toward more hands-on activities, in the same collaborative spirit. This is the time to propose activities that involve making, doing, walking, exploring, creating. A visit to the local sewage pumping station. A workshop on needle felting. Learn to make kimchi. Set up a telegraph. Make a map.
